Paper Summer Puddings

It's summer and plenty of berries are in season including strawberries, raspberries, blackberries etc. This has us thinking about summer puddings, something refreshing and fruity!

Goal England Goal Football Animation

As Team England will play tonight at the World Cup Semi Finals against Croatia, we have created a little animation of our Footy from our V for Vibes range in red and white kit to root on the England Team.

Although #WaistCoatWednesday is trending, for now, our footy won't have a waist coat just yet, as it needs to roll freely on the pitch, but the manager can. Goal goal goal Team England! 

Japanese Way Of Saying Thanks With Origami

When simple chopsticks wrappers are transformed into beautiful objects, or animals through folding and creasing in the form of origami, it makes a lovely reciprocal way to say thank you to a restaurant. A form of "silent" but simple and elegant communication method between the customers and the restaurant to say thank you. 

"Japanese Tip" is a project by Yuki Tatsumi, that just does precisely that. Tip not in the way of monetary form, but of origami objects that have been created and folded by patrons of restaurants from chopstick wrappers that have visited restaurants from different parts of Japan. Restaurants including sushi, izakaya, cafes etc. A heart warming collection of objects that will make you smile. Over 8,000 of "tip objects" have been collected.

Receipt Art For Real

It is possible to find art on receipt, especially on Italian's artist Michael Moccia's instagram account. From the wood block print "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" of Japanese artist Hokusai, to Van Gogh's Starry Sky, Gustav Klimt's The Kiss, Edvard Munch's The Scream, these classic artworks have been recreated and illustrated on the humble receipt. Receipts are never the same again. Ceci n'est pas une peinture.

Japanese Kakigori A Heatwave Remedy

Cooling desserts are a must. A dessert that is cute, fruity, colourful, refreshing, and cooling at the same time, our top picks will come from the Japanese dessert of Kakigori かき氷, or a slush puppy.

A dessert commonly found in Japan that we love it so much we even have a card on it.  As we should all meet for Kakigori, as it's a wonderful experience to see ice beautifully shaved from the ice machine and topped with all sorts of yummy toppings.
