I AM A X Studio Hache Papercut Workshop - Paper Jungle Paper Cutting Kids Arts Workshop

I AM A cute paper collage jungle art children’s workshop

Roar! Let's create a paper jungle! Reimagine your jungle filled with different endangered species of animals in the wild. Via this workshop, you will be creating a paper jungle canvas. Using newspaper as your base canvas and the techniques of paper cutting to produce a collage decorating the canvas with a combination of paint, paper, pens and pencils to bring alive your jungle! Yay!

This workshop is run in collaboration with Studio Hache, a new Community Art Studio at Old Laundry Yard in Shepherd's Bush.

This is a FREE Art and Design workshop for children of local residents aged 7-16 years old.

Studio Hache based in West London and provides community art workshops to local residents in the Shepherd's Bush neighbourhood. As the classes are free, and a majority of the art materials are either from donations or with a strong ethos of recycling materials to create art. As part of this workshop, we have chosen newspaper as a material for our canvas, and encourage participants to look for materials around them to help create stencils to form their paper jungle.

Donations are welcome. All donations will be towards Studio Hache to encourage and support more free community workshops for residents around the neighbourhood.

I AM A X Noiascape Build The Wall { Of Love } at Your Creative Space

I AM A X Noiascape Collaboration Community Art Exhibition and Workshops to Build The Wall of Love in London

SOCIAL MEDIA 2.❤️

We refer to social media as 2.0, where we create and share content via a social network enabled by technology. However technology is not always considered inclusive and can be impersonal, and may not connect with those communities who would benefit most from inclusion in society.

Therefore through “Your Creative Space” + Kolider by Noiascape, we aim to make the “SOCIAL” of social media more inclusive. With Social Media 2.♥ “SHARE” a connection with a member of the local community and spread warmth and goodwill to our neighbours. At the same time rekindle the essence of human touch and expression through “MEDIA” - in this case publishing with paper, cards, pencils and handwriting.

BUILD THE WALL { OF LOVE }

“BUILD THE WALL { OF LOVE }” is a community project. The objective is to “spread the love” from Askew Road and beyond, to other locations through the use of personal stories. Collaborate and spread the love by writing a message using a postcard - whether that be for a partner, husband or wife, friend, favourite pet, past partner(?), best friend, family member and even messages in memory to those who are no longer with us.

Your messages will form the bricks that build this wall of love. Let's #SPREADTHELOVE .

Postcards and writing tools are provided. Feel free to drop by any time during our opening hours to write and customise your postcard message.

We aim to consolidate all the messages from the community and will map to see where we have spread love to.

12 - 18th February 2018 Free Drop-In To Write a Card and Build the Wall

YOUR CREATIVE SPACE

"Your Creative Space", is a drop-in work room to encourage anyone to unleash their creativity through writing, paper cutting and crafting.

We also encourage recycling and upcycling at Your Creative Space. It's cool to mix and match the old and the new, at the same time fun to bring a new lease of life to past objects. In the paper crafting activities, past issues of magazines will also be provided as a source of inspiration to create new collages of paper cuts.

Workshops to upcycle forgotten pieces of clothing that are deemed unwearable because there are holes in them, be it grandpa's old jumper, your favourite scarf or tote bag. By patching these apparel items, we #SPREADTHELOVE to them and make them good to use again.

Paper, art tools, sewing materials are available at Your Creative Space to encourage you to make, write and have fun!
